I travelled the world in my youth, in the Merchant Navy, and I have to say that, compared to anywhere I have seen, our weather is not that bad and certainly not "crap", (meterological term?) as you say. If you think that nice "warm" 45 degree places with hardly any rain are good then I suggest you give them a go. Or temperatures at -30 degrees barely reaching 15 degrees at the warmest try them too. The most "uncrap" weather I have encountered was in New Zealand and home in England.
