Cement is made from him, which is highly alkaline.  So, objects made with cement have the potential to raise soil pH, especially in areas with acidic soil and lots of rain. Basically, just avoid using cement with acid-loving plants like blueberries as it could raise the pH into levels that are unhealthy. Otherwise, I’m not sure it’s of great concern. But you can always get your pH tested to check. Another possible issue is overheating. Just insulate the bed with wood chips up to near the top of the cinder block.
