Why does everyone hate squirrels? I have always made sure that they have convenient places to feed at base of tree or fence posts. After Hurricane Sandy in NJ, we lost trees, food sources for all kinds of critters, but especially squirrels. Survivors were skinny. Neighbors put out sunflower seeds and corn for them. Birds too! Love my squirrels! They are looking alot happier.
