We were cleaning out our family home and found 3 farmers almanacs 1840,1853,1855 Boston editions and they all have a wooden attachment to the binder with a circle cut out in the middle near the top. Similar to a wooden spoon but with a whole in the middle. We are thinking this may be the edition that hung at the family's general store.
