The taste is typically not pleasing, unless the berries are 鈥渄ead ripe,鈥 at the peak of ripeness (think falling off the cane into your hands). Do you know which variety you have? According to some growers, 鈥極sage鈥 is 鈥渟uperior鈥 tasting compared to other thornless varieties, including 鈥楰iowa鈥 which has been described as good, if dead ripe.
