I planted peonies 20 years ago that have been glorious all this time, until this year. Nearby trees have grown up and now shade the peonies and the peonies themselves have self-sown and are too crowded. All of the peonies got powdery mildew during this wet spring that we had in Colorado. Should I transplant all of the plants, just some, or none? Thank you!
