Thank you for this excellent article. A question . . . The New Star is 3000 light years away meaning it takes light 3000 years to reach us. Why are we saying this event occurs every 80 years and how are we saying it will happen any day soon? Would you help me understand this? Is the evidence presented by Astronomers 3000 years ago and witnessed every 80 years after this time, or.....?
