As the article states, beware and research. I have about 12 mushroom books, one that stands out is the Audubon Mushroom book, rather small, but thick with info. Another good mushroom and health source on line is Dr. Andrew Weil. On Eastern lawns I found the Boletes and puff Balls are good, choice as thee book states. Most are good only know of one specie in each of these groups to be bad, not killers. But the beautiful colored spotted cap ones are to stay away from, even to handle. Then there's the good tree associated mushrooms. It's a blast just to study them. Cooking is fun, smells great when doing. People in Europe hunt mushrooms religiously, my grandfather in the UK did. I knew a Russian couple that did also, they really know the mushroom. Good luck, but be cautious.
