I have had several BAD experiences with ground dwelling meat bees. Welts once and significant swelling and itching. I kill them by going out well after dark and pouring one cup of gasoline down their entrance. The entire nest dies within a few minutes. Diesel doesnt work. If the hole is near your living quarters lacquer thinner will work. More expensive.
