we are a retired couple and already were doing a lot of our own cooking and we had gone down to a refrigerator with a freezer on the bottom so not so much room for freezing stuff from garden. I am now freezing fruit puree or cooked fruit and quickly steamed veggies like asparagus in two person plastic bags (first flat until frozen and then upright as it seems to take less room. I also make soup and other dishes in large amounts and freeze in two person pkgs. At first I tried to have a two week supply of cooked items in the freezer in case we got sick and did not feel like cooking. I have let that slip but will have to get back to that. I also make various kinds of bread and freeze such as whole wheat yeast bread and quick breads such as corn bread, or scones.
