For example, you state that "we are the closest thing to twin planets in the Solar System" - it depends how you view Pluto these days (planet or not), but the Pluto-Charon system certainly is closer to a "twin planet" system than ours with our Moon. You also state that the "Moon is the only satellite that influences its planet (think tides)" - this is definitely not true. Tidal effects are important between all objects in the Solar System. Tidal effects are also of paramount importance for exoplanet systems.
