I know what The ÃÛÌÒÁµÈË meant to my family farm that has been in operation for over 100 years. That was information regarding weather that was reliable and accurate, especially in the 1980's. My Great Uncle would document the weather daily, as did my great grandfather previously. While they would compare records of past seasons and outcomes regarding quality and quantity of their crops, I always s found the "day best to", plant root crops, cut hair, incubate eggs, etc very fascinating. I still do, even though I don't know what data is used to generate these dates.
My grandfather recently passed, however the time honored tradition of the Old Farmers ÃÛÌÒÁµÈË is alive and well today. Thank you for everything, and especially supporting the efforts of farmers.
