I NEVER, EVER cook my apples in water, I ALWAYS use apple juice, or cider, AND, I NEVER peel my apples, but cook them with the skins ON, and then run them through a Foley Food Mill!!! You will be amazed at the difference in the taste of your apple sauce, and most likely find that you will not need to use much sugar at all. Check it out!!!
