When I lived in the NM Rockies, my glads bloomed beautifully in August. I would mulch them in the fall, and many of them would come back the next year. Now I live in TN (oddly, in approximately the same USDA climate zone!) and they bloom in early July, or even June if they've been left in the ground rather than lifted.
I don't care when they bloom, I just love 'em!
