Thanks for a very nice multi-purpose drink. Kick back and cool off with a glass; enjoy with stop-by friends; wonderful addition to any picnic or fellowship gathering; good source of Vit. C and Electrolytes; helps to curb the 'hungry but not time to eat' twinges.
I stir in my fiber additive to this tea. Being Hypoglycemic due to under-treated hypothyroidism, a glass or two throughout the day helps to keep me more balanced decreasing the "gotta have sugar" spikes.
Dehydrate and store the fresh fruit to have readily on hand. It reconstitutes in the tea.
It is saddening to read such critical, sarcastic comments previously written. I can not help but to wonder if these folks also write to magazines, authors of cookbooks, the grandmother of their friend, etc. to bash their recipes that are not written in a way solely for the benefit of any/all ailments they may have. Due to the prolonged thyroid issue, I developed a super inconvenient and painful sensitivity to Gluten. If there were something contained in this tea I knew I could not have, I'd just substitute an acceptable alternative...too simple. Sure, I may ask for alternatives and, yes, I would share alternatives with others, but not in such a way as to demean and critisize the person, their info, who was kind enough to share of themselves.
