Herbed Turkey Burgers

Getting tired of the same old hamburgers? Let us help you out of your rut with our scrumptious recipe for Herbed Turkey Burgers! Serve these turkey burgers on whole-grain buns with thick slices of tomato, lettuce, and any other traditional hamburger toppings to your liking.

Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg white
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons olive oil
Instructions

In a bowl, combine all ingredients, except oil. Stir until thoroughly combined, but don’t overwork. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty.

In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, warm oil. Cook burgers until well browned on both sides, 6 to 8 minutes. (Don’t press down on burgers as they cook or they’ll lose their juices.) To test for doneness, peek into the thickest part of the burgers with the tip of a knife (you should see no pink at the center).

If using a grill: Coat grill rack with cooking spray. Grill the patties, covered with the grill lid, over medium-high heat (350 degrees to 400 degrees) for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until center is no longer pink.
