Planting, Growing, and Caring for Hyacinths

Is there a trick to get the tiny Muscari seed to germinate? I live in N. Alabama. I thought maybe they would just naturally multiply, but, I never have more than about 30 plants.
When your plants are done flowering, do not deadhead them. If they were pollinated then they will form seed heads. Leave them be until the seed heads dry out and then later burst open. If your winter is cold enough for the seeds to germinate (at N. Alabama I am guessing it is), then they should sprout come spring. Be careful though when weeding, they look very much like grass seedlings, just a little more fleshy! (Best advice I can give for that is to pull everything you know for sure is a weed, then go back and compare what is left to identify your new seedlings vs grass.) Your new seedlings will not flower in the 1st year; if they follow the same growth rules as many other plants grown from seed, I would expect the vigorous growers to flower possibly in the 2nd year and the rest in the 3rd.
I live in Zone 10. Do I need to dig up my bulbs in the fall and store them in a chilled place?
I was away for awhile and came home to find "seeds" forming on the blossom stalks of a couple of my hyacinths....can I start new plants from these?
Yes, you can start new plants from the seeds! Leave the faded blossoms let the seed heads dry out and turn brown. Then split open the pod and save the seeds. One common method is to wrap a little nylon pantyhose or bag around the pod to catch the seeds when they pop open.
I have several hyacinth bulbs that were dug up by a neighbor today, May 1st (they are redoing their garden). They are, of course done blooming for this year. I am in Maryland, zone 7b, about to start on a hot summer. Should I go ahead and plant the bulbs now? Or should I store them to plant in the fall? In either case should I cut back the foliage?
Thanks!!!

I think u ought to plant the bulbs in the autumn not summer; i think the foliage dries out naturally; store bulbs in a cool dry place.
Remove the foliage and place the bulbs in a cool, dry dark spot. In the fall, replant them.
You mentioned that a commercial organic fertilizer can be sprinkled around the plants. What type? 3/3/3/ or 10 /10/10 or blood meal ? Bone meal invites the critters to dig.
