Planting, Growing, and Pruning Rhododendrons and Azaleas

Can clematis and rhododendrons be planted together?
Thank you.
It’s unclear whether you mean side by side or with the clematis growing up the rhododendron… In either case, the only apparent hang up is that they have different requirements when it comes to the pH of the soil. Clematis prefer a neutral to basic (alkaline) planting site, while rhododendron are acid-lovers.
my husband pruned them to much there isnt hardly anything left of the rhododendron left, we moved in 2yrs ago and they were huge, what do we do to get them health again. thank you jami ortiz
I had one that was a mess. Cut it all to 2 feet tall, and it came back looking great-in a few years... all is not lost.

We had a rhododendron that had some problems, so I cut it back and left about a foot of stalk. It took a few years but it came back healthier and fuller than ever. I would keep your husband from pruning it again unless taking off damaged or dead growth.
Got a potted azalea, unsure of variety. Can I re pot it and keep it inside for the winter? I live in Tulsa, OK. Can I take it outside on warmer days and bring it in at nite? Would like to plant it outside this coming spring
My rhododendron is growing taller and would like to prune it shorter. I usually deadhead spent flowers. It's putting up new shoots. I am in zone 5 and the flowers are almost spent. How should I prune?
We have a wet area of the garden in the winter which is close to an area which can flood for less than a day at a time and will be this too wet for the rhododendron to grow there or do we have to find a dryer area of the garden for it.
