Planting, Growing, and Caring for Cosmos

How nice of your friend! You can still sow the seed in the spring of 2017, but it might germinate poorly. Be sure to store the seeds in a cool, dry place, and don’t be disappointed if the cosmos are not as healthy and vibrant as expected. For the best germination, you would probably want to buy newer seed.
Hi!
I'm growing cosmos from seedlings in a pot and I have read that I am supposed to pinch them. Is this true? If so when am I'm supposed to do this, and how? I am in Inglewood CA. Thanks for any help. Love this site!
A little light pinching on young plants (and more on established plants) is a good idea, as it encourages bushier growth/more branching at the base resulting in more bloom potential. To pinch, remove the growing tip of the plant.
I just recently purchased some White Cosmos Flowers from my local plant nursery/garden center. Considering that I live in Tucson, AZ and how hot it is outside, how often should I fertilize the flowers and how often do they need watering? We in Tucson are getting ready for the monsoon season. By the way, your site and information are astounding and I love it! Thank you and Many Blessings!
I water my cosmos every other day. On a very hot day I give mine a drink in the evening
I planted Cosmos seeds in small pots inside(to start them out) but packet does not say how often to water. Also, I live in Phx, AZ. Any special instructions for their health in 'hell'? That's how hot it can get here.
Cosmos flowers love the heat and are drought tolerant. Keep the soil moist in the pots but do not overwater. Sow some seeds in the soil outdoors. Cosmos seedlings are known to grow quickly from direct-sown seed.
I want to plant indoor flowers plants.pls suggest some plants for this winter.
Some indoor flowers that like the darker days of winter are African violets, winter begonia, kalanchoe, cyclamen, and many bulbs that you can force to bloom.
I want to know may I plant the plant of cosmos now?
