I agree with you 100%. So sick of how people always try to sidestep who God is or use his name in vain. Bet she would have spelled out allah had she been writing a muslim article. They need to get rid if her as one of their writers.
Annette, I am so sorry that your love for Jesus has not transferred to your love for other humans and their religions. As God’s Ancient People, I think the Jews out there may use God’s name as they sit fit. If more people loved, as Jesus instructed us, there wouldn’t be wars and famine and people spreading hate. She should not be fired…perhaps she’s Jewish and it’s against her religion to spell out God’s name. Learn from her and grow. Please! Our world is so full of hate…learn to love and tolerate like Jesus did.
I use the word Hebrews or Judaism is the religion of the Jewish people. It is the oldest of the world’s four biggest monotheistic religions (a religion based on the belief that there is only one God), dating back over 4000 years.
Rather that G d for God, just put a G. Or just use the name Eltham or Adonis. Because G d is a short way to curse God.
I think Jews have been spelling God like this far longer than humans have been talking in acronyms. Why would Jews have to change because society says it is an acceptable way to curse God? Think about it a bit…
Hi Ronald-
Thanks for your thoughts! It is this particular author’s choice and one of the preferred spellings. To learn more, we encourage you to read this article from .
Exactly!!
This is a formative article upon reach reply; I have learned something new. As a Blackman, where doI fit into all of this; I believe in God.
My friend, you fit in perfectly. In the Bible, as a Hebrew, it was and is required that any male who wants to celebrate the Passover must be circumcised. I, am a born again follower of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, we as followers of Jesus Christ have been circumcised in our hearts. Even if you have been circumcised in body. the true circumcision is of the heart. So, my friend color means nothing. The Lord Almighy made you and every one of us. He knit us together in our Mothers womb. You are included.
According to history, Passover was not for Jews period! It was for the Hebrew Slaves! I know that most people think that the Jews were the Hebrews. Still, they didn't even exist until the Hasmonian and Herodian Dynasties because that is when King Herod brought his people to rule over Jerusalem! His people were known as the Idumeans and were originally from Edom. The Edomites were descendants of Esau, Jacob/Israel's twin brother which means they had the same genes!
King Herod was also an Edomite, and he brought his religion with the Pharisees and the Talmud! The Romans put the Idulmeans aka Edomites over the Hebrews after the Hasmonian Dynasty (The Maccabees)! The Idumeans were in good with the Romans, and King Herod's sister Berenice was a concubine to General Titus! The only reason the present Jews have 3% Shemitic blood is because of the Idumeans whom the Romans allowed them free range and taught their religion to the regions at that time. They eventually both became an Amalgamation.
These can easily be verified by searching any search engine but have not been heard about in Churches. Due to racism, everyone in the Bible looked Roman and later European, especially once they came to America.
I do not say all this to bash the Jews because I sincerely believe they too have been deceived just like the Christians, but I think the truth needs to be told to everyone as the Bible makes more sense once you understand the actual story. Many things that Jesus said make much more sense when you understand why he said what he did in John 8:33 "They answered him, "We are offering of Abraman, and have NEVER BEEN ENSLAVED TO ANYONE!" Or Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 and his feeling towards whom he called the Jews (but were the Idulmeans (Edomites)! The Bible has been changed to appease the Europeans, Americans, and Israelis at the expense of truth to all people who believe in the Bible!
