My Aloe is very thin and skinny, growing downward. what is the Problem.
Some of my aloe Vera plant has a brown coloring but is plump.do you cut off leaves to trim?
My new aloe vera plant has soft leaves but dry roots. I'm confused as to have to do with it. I don't want to add more soil in case it is overwatered but equally don't want to leave it as the soil is dry. Any advice is much appreciated
It sounds like your plant is thirsty. Leaves should be plump and firm to the touch, but if they don’t have enough water, they will get soft and wilted. This can also happen if the plant is watered too much, but given that you say your soil is dry, it’s more likely that the plant needs more water rather than less. Give yours a good watering and see if its condition improves.
How do you know what a mature leaf is? So you don't kill the plant when you take one off to use for Aloe.
Once leaves reach about 1 陆 inches in diameter near the base, they can be harvested and used.
I鈥檓 very glad I found this site, but I鈥檓 still a bit confused on how to care for my aloe pup. I just got it last night and I鈥檓 not sure how much of a green thumb I have for this type of thing, so I鈥檓 over worrying myself.
Don’t worry! The main thing to be careful about is watering鈥攄on’t overwater your plant and let the soil dry out between waterings, assuming the pup is already in soil. Keep it out of direct sunlight (bright, indirect light is best) and away from extreme temperature areas (such as a cold window or above a heating vent).
Hello! Are pets aloud to eat aloe Vera or is it bad for them? Thanks!
Pets should not be allowed to eat or chew on aloe vera leaves, as they contain substances that are mildly toxic.
