We’d strongly recommend that you talk to a vet about this. Even over the phone, they might be able to give you some advice as to anything you might be able to do at home to make your pup more comfortable, what symptoms to watch for that indicate the the condition is worsening, and generally how to keep him safe. There are also 24/7 emergency animal clinics that sometimes offering free advice over the phone for less serious issues. Some possible concerns is that there might be a cut, or even an embedded splinter, that has the potential to become infected; he also may have hurt a tooth. It’s best to have a vet take a look. We hope that your puppy feels better soon!
