It’s normal for plants to begin to wilt at this time of year. They recognize that the sunlight and heat is diminishing. As annuals, they have a limited lifespan…and it is reaching its conclusion. It’s kind of sad to see the plants enter this phase (it’s happening here in New Hampshire gardens, too.) Afterall, it’s thrilling and satisfying and gratifying to see the plants thrive and produce a bounty. For now, take pride in how you’ve nurtured your plants to produce so mightily!
