Have to disagree with the article, stating that the Ruby Throated Hummingbird was found, only east of the Mississippi River. We lived in Dillon, Montana for 22 years, and we always, had them at our house. We lived about, 15 miles, from Dillon, Mt. At an elevation of 6400 ft. We had the Ruby Throated Hummingbird, as well as a Coppery brown one, that had a bright iridescent orange throat, as well. Just beautiful little birds! They were very friendly birds. as well. Was very curious, about us. At this time, we are living in a small town, called Kirby, which is about 12.5 miles, from Thermopolis, Wyoming. We are told they have hummingbirds, here as well. So we hope to have some visiting us here as well!
:} Can't wait! Sorry! Read the article wrong-- so only one type of hummingbird is east of the Mississippi. I found that interesting!
