I planted a "Carolina something" variety on a hill, here in Texas. The vines are massive. But, every melon that starts to grow ends up with a mis-shaped end (vine and/or flower end) that is softer than the rest of the melons. Then melons are getting to approx. volleyball size, so far.
Is this a bug, soil, watering or virus problem?
