When is it best to transplant the bushes to another area?
Transplant blueberry bushes in late fall when they are dormant (November, December). Make sure your soil is prepared so it's the right pH and has high organic matter content. See more on our blueberries plant page here: www.almanac.com/plant/blueberries
I have 250, three year old Blue Crop blueberry plants. They produced good berries last year although small. I did a prune in January and now we have no berries blossoms this year at all, although the Rekas and Chandlers are full of blossoms. What could the reason for this be.
Any suggestions on how to keep chipmunks from getting to the berries?

do blueberry bushes that are in containers need to be taken indoors for the winter or can I mulch the pots really good. I live in the East Tennessee area and we get harsh winters sometimes.
My potted blueberries go into the garage for the winter. Their leaves fall off and plants do dormant. Water pots monthly to keep root systems alive. In the early spring, plants will produce a few, new green leaves. That's your signal to put containers outdoors again.
We started a U-Pick orchard 9 yrs ago and have 88 bushes to date.I'd like to have an even 100. We mixed our hole mixture of leaves, pine needles, peat and a little loam. I have added the organic sulphur and need to do it again to the newer bushes, but other than some pine needles for mulch they are fairly easy to care for. I gave my older 3 rows a hard trimming last year so production was way down this year but I expected that,I'll still get around 50 qts-I'm up to 33 now.Last year I had 45 in the freezer and sold the rest. Next year should be awesome. The only problem I have is the jap beetles, which I hand pick in the morning/drown in soapy water, and put the bags upwind as soon as possible, then all is well. There is nothing better than blueberries in anything. All winter long we have fantastic treats.
Planted three blueberry bushes two years ago. Now entering third season...... Do I need to wait out this third season before letting the blueberries grow?
Asked greenhouse for mature 3-5 yr old,it's 3 and baring fruit. I would say enjoy the fruit.
