Robert W. Pelton (1934-2021) joined the Navy at 17 to become a Radarman on the USS Tripoli, casualty photographer and MP. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He was previously also a contract engineer working in numerous locations, including Alaska and Hawaii, but for the majority of his life, he was an author writing over 100 titles. He wrote about and was a public speaker for American wars spanning the Revolution to Vietnam.
